Jesus during his physical ministry on earth was talking to the disciples and in a bid to demonstrate an upgrade for those who had believed in him while on earth he said I no longer call you servants, I call you friends (John 15:15). He particularly said for the servant does not know his master’s business, isn’t that interesting? Despite doing the master’s business, a servant does not know the master’s business.

Many believers have tabernacles here like Peter wanted to build a tabernacle one for Jesus, Moses and Elijah without understanding that it was a makeshift arrangement and that things changed by the cross.

Jesus didn’t come to make us friends, he died to make us sons of God. A friend has no inheritance only a mere acquaintance. In John 20:17 after the resurrection Jesus sent a message to his disciples “Jesus saith to her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended unto the Father: but go unto my brethren, and say to them, I ascend unto my Father and your Father, and my God and your God.” He called them brethren, he referred to God as their Father. This is the true position bought for us by the death of the son. As many as received him, he gave them power to become the sons of God even those that believe in his name.
